Design for me is not only always about creating solutions as I am often conditioned to think, but also about questioning existing ideologies, methods, injustices and unintended social consequences of and with design.

As a UX researcher and designer, I situate my practice at the intersection of design, emerging technologies and just futures. My key strength lies in the ability to discover untapped opportunities to address unarticulated needs through systematic unpacking and understanding of complex socio-economic problems that sometimes go undiscovered or unchallenged.

I have been critically looking at the
contextual and situated needs of the people involved with design, no matter how specific and subjective those needs are. Such an approach reveals unique stories of people, their assumptions, their needs and their visions of the future, which is vital for approaching equitable and just futures that do not ignore or suppress the voice of certain groups.

Through my academic and continuous professional experience, I have garnered both technical and essential skills to work in the uncertain and ambiguous inquiry/project spaces. The themes of my
interest  include AI for social good, SDG, emerging markets & next billion users, access and inclusion. Some of the domains I have worked with are education, sustainable living, agri-tech, banking, healthcare, telecom security, design for accessibility and inclusion; wherein I applied human-centered approach and innovative mindset to understand various contexts.

My portfolio includes working for:

MIT Tata Research Centre   |   Amazon   |   Standard Bank (South Africa)   |   MaxBupa Health   |   CareForm Labs  |  Reliance Trends
